This year our daughter Anna won the Bananagrams Challenge and became the 2016 UK Top Banana - and she attributes her success to this wonderful book. It's filled with clever tips and two-letter words we never knew existed. Anna played "Zo" on her winning board having learned that this is a kind of Tibetan yak.... "Ai", a three-toed sloth, is another of her favourite words! This book is a perfect gem to peruse - which nearly anagrams into "spot our game perfecter" - but not quite (there's a reason why Deej Johnson, master of the anagram, was chosen to write it!). Deej Johnson has a witty and intelligent style of writing that makes the book fun, and funny, for 9 year olds like Anna and older people like me... If you love Bananagrams, we can't recommend this book highly enough.

I bought this after I bought Bananagrams. I love word games and this helps you develop strategies to win. it is an ebook therefore I received it immediately. If you like Bananagrams you will love this. Would recommend it if you want to take over the Bananagrams world.

WE LOVE BANANAGRAMS and this book has been invaluable; initially just to sort out family rows over permitted words but latterly as my son has played the Bananagrams Challenge through school, He has learnt a phenomenal amount about the English language, derivatives of words and endless two letter words that we'd never heard before. The book is small enough to carry with the game but addictive in its content- would be hugely useful to scrabble addicts too. Oh, and incidentally my son became the UK Top Banana in the challenge this year- so I reckon you can't really go wrong! Buy it!

My son loves this book - it's taught him lots of new words as well as showing him unusual words to help use up all the difficult letters. I would highly recommend this book for Banagramers.

This is great! It's pithy, witty and entertaining, whilst offering some very useful tips into improving your game. I can't decide whether to buy it as a Christmas present for my Bananagrams-loving friends, or keep it under my hat and kick their asses instead...

If you're buying for one of the many Bananagrams addicts out there, then this little book of hints and tips could be the perfect stocking filler. It's a handy, pocket-sized guide of useful ways to work challenging letters into a game, variations to the traditional game and even ways to get extra vital seconds of time over your opponent (who knew there was such a knack to turning over tiles?) My only slight gripe is there are LOTS of exclamation marks and ellipses in this book, which when you read it cover to cover rather than dipping in and out can be a bit much. However, the book fulfils exactly what it sets out to, so I can't argue with it as a fun gift for the wordaholics. After reading this I'm expecting to win every game of Bananagrams I play over Christmas and reign as Top Banana in my house.

Loved Beth's review, you should have read the description first!!!A fantastic, handy little book that has changed my gaming style BIG time! Who knew there were so many 2 letter words in the world? I have always enjoyed the game but to be honest, everyone else seemed to be better than me. Not any more, I am keeping this my little secret for a while just to watch my friends faces as I beat them again!A well written, witty and fun book that will truly enhance your game, well worth buying!
